I was using a competitors hosting and was satisfied with what I had. Then in talking with Raven, I found that I was not getting all that I could from my host. I was not able to get the HTTP Authentication to work and Raven suggested asking my hosting company about it. Raven said I needed PHP running as an Apache Module. My hosting company responded quite quickly with an answer I didn't like. They were running suPHP, as a CGI module, and there was nothing I could do to change this.
So, I took Ravens advice, and got a hosting company that could provide what I wanted and needed to have a safe, secure website. Raven worked up a package I was happy with, and I now have true HTTP Authentication on my site.
On a side note, my FORMER hosting company has refused to refund any of my money, even though they would not/could not provide the services that I requested.
